I've been alive 50 years; was married 25 years, divorced, raised kids, worked. I'm a graduate student, a music teacher and a mom to 4 grown kids, including an Army vet and an Air Force officer. I'm part of the sandwich generation. Kid has returned and mom is living with me. I'm lucky - I have a lot of help with mom. Dating, working, living - it's all mas que nada.

The Lesson My Friends Taught Me
t an amazing evening with a large group of friends. Some were old friends, some were brand new. I had a house concert at my house with some fabulous musicians from Ireland. Royalty of traditional Irish music.
The craic was amazing for all of us. It's 1:30 in the morning, and we began about 6:30. Music was constant. First the concert, then the seisiun. I will always be grateful for the attitude of these wonderful musicians who, after several hours of entertaining us, are willing to spend several more hours actually playing with us. I mean, really, there are miles between their abilities and ours. But it's all about the relationships, the craic, the music and not at all about the ego.
