I've been alive 50 years; was married 25 years, divorced, raised kids, worked. I'm a graduate student, a music teacher and a mom to 4 grown kids, including an Army vet and an Air Force officer. I'm part of the sandwich generation. Kid has returned and mom is living with me. I'm lucky - I have a lot of help with mom. Dating, working, living - it's all mas que nada.

It has gotten clearer through the day. Perspective is a wonderful thing. Life is wonderful. And I say that knowing that I am so tired of games and frustrations that I would rather be out on an island than just about anywhere. But I am amazed every time that when I feel down, God (or Life, or Karma, or a Higher Power - whatever you call it) puts people in a position to lift me up. Even strangers. Have you ever had a perfect stranger come up to you and say something that really lifts your spirits? I mean, right out of the blue! I have. They must be angels.
